”The staff were helpful, the hotel was clean- however, on the Friday evening when I arrived the Internet was down, and still down when I went out after 9 am Saturday morning. Otherwise, a comfortable stay.”

”The rooms were well prepared and clean. Location was very convenient for our needs during the stay. ”

”Upon arrival, we were informed the pool is faulty and can’t be accessed. The carpet on the hallways was extremely dirty. The room has very poor lighting. The bathroom had only a shower so it’s not convenient if you don’t want to wet your hair. There was dirty plates and rubbish left infront of most rooms for hours. Also, for breakfast, I would rate it 5/10. The buffet was stored in rusted heavy bowls and lids you will have to lift up. Also there was no hot chocolate just coffee and tea bags....

”Koko hotelli on täysin homeessa. Haju tervehtii jo sisään tullessa voimakkkaasti. Hissi ja huoneet kosteuden tuhoamia Sijainti muuten mahtavaja henkilökunta ystävällistä. Mutta ei koskaan valitettavasti voi homeen takia mennä uudestaan.”

”Main front door doesn't shut, there was a bed missing. And the only parking space was taken up by a van that looked like it had been there for years”

”Old premises, good for sleeping. Only single glass windows so all noise from the yard and road come was heard in the room. Noisy neighbors in the yard both nights. Breakfast is simple, I recommend to use 8,50£ for eating somewhere else. Kind personnel, quite neat hotel and surroundings. A couple of restaurants within 2 min walking. Bus stop close and good connection to downtown.”

”This hotel is a hidden gem! The host, Maria, is truly wonderful. Her attention to detail is fab, and she couldn't be anymore helpful and welcoming. Maria stayed late for my colleagues check in and then came in early to accommodate us for an early breakfast. The dinner was divine - strongly recommend the tikka curry. Home cooked, beautiful meal. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I will ensure I book here when I visit Birmingham again!!!”

”This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The place if filthy and everything is broken. Our bed sheets were filthy and when we spoke to reception they handed us sheets and told us to change them ourselves as they the didn’t have any staff on. The place stank of weed. The light fittings were all broken. The shower door fell off. The public areas are ridiculous. The pictures are not a representation of the hotel in the slightest. The walls in the room by the bed were filthy with...

”Hotel convenient for Alexander stadium. Staff helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was good for dinner and the breakfast was a great selection and quality. Unfortunately our tv or air conditioning didn’t work in the bedroom which let it down. Plus neighbours were in and out of the rooms slamming doors all night (not the hotels fault - but really noisy - we were by an outside door also so more footfall passing by) Fantastic to have a pool and additional facilities, but the pool area...

”This must be the most disgusting place I ever stayed in. It's really hard to even describe... everything is old and ugly, it really is in a bad state. The host welcomed us with air freshner but it still stunk. The host had the nerve to charge us £10 for late check-in. The bed made me want to go home really desperately. My room was number 11. Oh, and the horrible bath is shared amongst at least 8 rooms.”

”The Hotel was right next to the event that we went to. The bed was really comfortable, shower was great so the room was spot on. The staff were brilliant and friendly. Will definitely be booking for the same time next year. Price was brilliant as well.”
