”Great hotel and friendly staff. We stayed here for an event at the arena; perfect location with 10 minute walk to the arena, shops and bars but far enough away from noise. Room, clean, comfortable with great shower facilities. We had a comfy sleep waking up for breakfast feeling refreshed. Parking 2 minute walk away (aston car park) and well priced, only £10 for 24 hours. Would stay here again when coming to Birmingham and recommend to others. ”

”I was expecting a little more to be honest for the price. So much competition in Birmingham, this hotel is beginning to show its age in places. Check in was super efficient. Asked for a high level room for the views, we were on 17 out of 24. There is a typo in all of the lifts. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed. The bed was sooo comfy. ”Grand is a very apt name for the hotel, all areas immaculate with spacious high cieling rooms and attentive staff. The only area lacking was breakfast, my Hash Brown benedict had very dried bacon, overcooked egg and you could tell the sauce had been left exposed on the hot plate too long. I'd therefore give 9.5/10 overall. ”

”AC Marriott is in a great location surrounded by restaurants and bars. Mailbox parking available and once parked you can walk alongside the canal and stop for a refreshment or walk into the city centre. We went to the Alexander theatre which was a 10min walk from the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They seemed pleased to help which is refreshing. The room was clean and absolutely fine for one night or a weekend with a TV, mini fridge and coffee/tea...

”Bloc is supposed to be an affordable design hotel. Well, if design means rooms that have some fancy features but that are not very functional then that's what it must be.
