”Beautiful old main building and well constructed new wing that blended seamlessly with the old main Hall. However, due to the layout and lack of lifts it meant a really long walk from our room to the main reception area. The Hotel seemed to have a lack of staff - the very nice mature lady at reception, was multitasking and ended up carrying our bags up to the room. This staff shortage manifested itself later when we went to have dinner - to be told that the gas was off in the kitchen and...

”Sadly this is a very old establishment and the decor reflects this. Thought I was back in the 80's. The beds were well used and sagged although the linen was fresh and clean. Good parking and staff pleasant.”

”No Ventilation in toilets not even the room was. No tv. No remote controller was present for tele. Facilities like microwave or freezer either common or share should provided. Voices and noises from next rooms were disturbing.”

”Two lifts, on out if order one not working properly. I checked in with a Brompton Bicycle and the check in guy put me on the 7th floor. The lift worked to go up to my room. In the morning I waited for 15 minutes with another guest for the lift which stopped at the lower floors but not the 7th. I had to carry my loaded Brompton bicycle down the stairs.
