”The staff were lovely and friendly, pub itself very nicely decorated and room (we were 117) was large, well equipped and clean. Lighting was poor and bathroom needed a face lift but good shower and amenities. Big downside of the whole experience was that we were directly above a nightclub which played extremely loud music from 10pm - 02.15. Our bed and floor were vibrating it was so loud. The tunes were good but not when you’re trying to sleep!!”

”Absolutely spot on. We expected quite simple / basic accommodation and were pleased to find it as anticipated - a small cabin like bedroom simply fitted out but completely adequate and spotlessly clean. We didn't arrive until just after 8pm but were cheerfully greeted by a very helpful Chris (despite him being towards the end of a busy day for him - when we arrived he was part of a small team clearing up after a wedding or birthday celebration of some size). ”Complete tiled floor which initially seemed unusual but that does mean its cleaner. I was happy to find there wasnt a damp smell in the bathroom. Ive been searching for a hotel that smells clean and this room certainly did, so I shall be staying here in future. My room was quiet even though hotel seemed busy. No view but that didnt bother me. Good ventilation and more snacks included than expected. Lovely towels and everything i needed. I didnt stop for breakfast so cant comment on the...

”We live this place, have been there lots but Patios and outside areas could have been a bit cleaner. Rooms are not very soundproof. We were on the ground floor this time and had people walking above us all night. On the plus side, Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious and reasonably priced.”

”Clean and staff super friendly. We booked a room which didn’t go through but staff managed to find us a room thankfully. It’s cheap and cheerful which is what I paid for. No complaints ”

”Amazing place! Hosts were amazing they couldn’t do enough for us, 100% be staying again, hopefully i am working near there in the winter so i can try out the log burner.”

”The staff throughout the hotel—from reception and housekeeping to the bar and restaurant teams—were exceptional and are the main reason I would choose to stay here again if I were visiting the area. Everyone was friendly, polite, and always willing to help, with nothing seeming like too much trouble. There was plenty of parking available, and the evening meals were served in generous portions.”

”Old carbon monoxide alarm are a problem with alarm going off at 2am aparently this is due to 2011 old wiring its a fault staff know about and pass off lightly as oh it maybe dust. we turned off air con as a precaution not great for the price paid. Restaurant staff were lovely as was the food overall nice stay that could of been great but hotel is showing its age and is in need of refurn in places”
