"We spent our vacation at this hotel staying in a chalet accommodation, and overall the visit was very successful, which is why I give the destination a strong four out of five stars.
The service throughout was truly friendly and made us feel welcome right from arrival. The hotel breakfast is simply excellent, offering a wide selection of fresh and high-quality items that provided a great start to the day. Additionally, the windows of the chalet accommodation offered stunning views straight toward the fell, which significantly increased the comfort of our stay.
The chalet was generally just okay, but as a minor downside, the tile grout in the bathroom showed some ingrained dirt. However, the spa area turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the overall experience. Chalet guests must pay separately to use the spa (15 euros per person), which feels quite steep for a selection of only three pools, and I would not pay it again. Furthermore, the spa is not very large, and what we found particularly unfortunate is that there are no saunas in the public areas, meaning that as a couple we could not enjoy sauna bathing together.
In summary, the place is a great choice for lovers of magnificent scenery, good food, and warm service, as long as you are aware of the limitations and extra fees of the spa beforehand. I can recommend the accommodation, but regarding the spa, I suggest thinking twice."
