”I am grateful for the amazing affordability of this hostel which was also paired with a low-key easy-going atmosphere. When I was told that there would be “a pancake” in the morning I wasn’t expecting much but I was happily surprised to discover that this pancake was very large, neither over cooked nor under cooked and it was decorated with two different fruits on top along with syrup of course. Thank you! I’m so grateful.”

”I am very very disappointed in this hostel. There were no actual door locks. The property is old and not in good repair and worst of all is that my mattress smelled very strongly of cat urine. Really! They tried to cover it up by hanging a toilet bowl sanitizer on the wall of the room. I removed it because the fumes were overwhelming. Also... they rent rooms by the hour! Yikes. ”This place is CLOSED yet hotels.com keeps offering it online. I booked through hotels.com as part of my trip and when I got their and the hotel was no longer in operation, and it was a nightmare dealing with hotels.com. They are pushy and it is a mess. When I started demanding my money back, a pushy person who spoke broken English called to sell me ANOTHER hotel, but refused to give me my money back. I am realizing hotels.com is a racket.”

”We got so much more than we expected. The room was clean and nice - all you need to stay overnight. Shared bathroom also had a hot shower (but a sink and a mirror would make it perfect). The service we got was so super I feel ashamed that we forgot to tip the guy from the reception. He checked the bus schedules for us, ordered a taxi (5.50 am!!) and made sure we ended up to the right bus terminal (there are plenty of those in SJ). We arrived pretty late to San Jose, felt a bit unsafe due...

”Room without window, terrible light. Reception was like the living room of the family, where they looked TV what we heard. The hostel was located in a main road, very loud. We had to open 2 gates and 2 doors to get in our room. We felt like being in a jail. Much too expensive!!!”
