Asheville is such a cool city. I was walking down the street and I came upon this really cool wall. Asheville fits into the stereotype of Appalachia in a unique way. Appalachia doesn't exactly fit into the modern, mainstream culture. Asheville fits into that non-conforming mold. Asheville is also home to some pretty unique music. A lot of this music has roots in traditional "Appalachian" music, using instruments such as the banjo and mandolin. I associate this alternate art with the alternate music because they both call Asheville and the Appalachian mountains home. #appalachianechoes
A guilded age crafted Basilica in the inner city of Asheville, North Carolina. Stain glass windows were amazing and the Last Supper presentation are beyond words. This must be seen if visiting Asheville.
This is "The Cut" in Asheville, it is a spot that overlooks the beautiful city of Asheville. People come here for a variety of reasons but one of the most interesting reasons is to spray paint graffiti on the rock and express them self. You can see a hint of this in the bottom right hand corner. Appalachian residents enjoy sharing their opinions and thoughts just like anyone else but as you can see they do it maybe just a little differently. This picture illustrates the unique balance that the Appalachian region has of nature and civilization. Not many places could do this and have them blend so nicely but the Appalachian area can and has. #appalachianechoes

The hotel is clean, staff is kind and helpful, large rooms and good location. Unfortunately, our room was not ready on time. While the wait was less than 1 hour, we had just arrived in town after a long drive.The room and bathroom lighting is dim.
