Apartment 'Sonnenzimmer' with Private Terrace and Shared Garden

Facing south and west, this room has the most hours of sunshine in the house. A south-west facing terrace (18 m²) invites you to sit in the sun with a book or coffee. Those who prefer a little more shade can simply sit under the lush bushes in front of the terrace.

The apartment has a separate entrance which can be reached via 4 steps from the terrace.

The apartment itself (approx. 70 m²) is bright, friendly, lovingly and comfortably furnished with many windows.

Please note that the apartment has no W-Lan and there is no cell phone reception - pure peace and quiet. By arrangement, we will activate the W-Lan for 2-3 hours in the morning. (In 2025 there will probably be cable, then this may change)

A few meters up the hill there is cell phone reception and if it is really urgent you can contact us and make a landline call.

Very quiet and idyllic on the edge of the Altdorf forest and surrounded by lush nature, the stay at the historic Durlesbach train station invites you to take long walks or bicycle tours. The Schussen river is just a bridge away and there are hiking trails for every taste and fitness level. Pure nature! Kites circle over the valley, beavers build their dams and even raccoons have been spotted. Time to relax and unwind!



During the day, the train passes right by the station, connecting us to the outside world every hour - time to take a short break for reflection, pause for a moment in conversation and wave to the passengers. Train enthusiasts will get their money's worth (link intern Bähnledenkmal), twice a day the ICE greets you at a snail's pace and sometimes a steam locomotive passes by. The vacation apartment is located in the former luggage shed of the station.

There is a parking space for your car directly in front of the apartment and you are welcome to store any bicycles you bring with you in the garage.



At night there is silence, you can only hear the sounds of nature. Sometimes you can hear a deer barking, the cuckoo and owls calling and in the morning the birds wake you up with their song.



Durlesbach is a (very) small hamlet with 6 houses in the Schussentobel, the train station is the last house before the forest. Durlesbach is part of Reute, which in turn is a district of the large county town of Bad Waldsee. Bad Waldsee is located in the Upper Swabia vacation region (Upper Swabian Baroque Route) on the edge of the Allgäu and 45 km from Lake Constance.
