"We spent two nights in a boutique type hotel Volcanes. It was located in the very center of Alajuela. It’s a small family run hotel with a good friendly english speaking staff. "The place was amazing, the villa was beautiful, the colors very original and the grounds were so well maintained, the restaurant view was spectacular and the staff very helpful and nice. We had a wonderful experience!"

Good hotel with a nice view over San Juan
"Well maintained classy hotel on top of the hill overlooking San Juan. Nice coffee trail starts from the door. Pool is very small and was out of function. The only dinner place around is hotel's restaurant. The food was good but clearly overpriced."
