”Agree entirely with a previous review. Not an hotel, just a B&B with bar and a very limited menu. The proprietess wanted to talk at us. The son, considerably older than 21, came up to us in the bar and said his mother would be with us soon to serve us drinks. Clearly he was not authorized to. Why? So we waited another 5 --10 mins for her to appear. No hot water in room - neither shower nor wash basin. Reactions were "we know one of the hot water timers is faulty, but it's nearly time for annual...

”Place was closed and locked when we arrived. Had to call sister accommodation to try and open it up. First night we were the only people in the place. Stayed two nights. I never saw a single member of staff the whole time”

”The area, the room, the owner, the atmosphere- everything was just perfect! We slept super well and enjoyed a good breakfast while chatting with other visitors and the owner. There are great restaurants nearby and if you arrive or leave by ferry, the guest house is just 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. We warmly recommend staying here! ”

”Photos showed a room with a view. We were allocated a basement room with no view at all. Noise at below parking level was horrendous. I contacted pure serviced to try cancel our 2nd night for a refund. Their response was to refuse , and to offer a white noise machine to combat the noise! If I could offer zero stars, I would. I will never book another pure service property again, & suggest you do the same. Worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune of using. Nowhere on my booking did it state id...

”The room was quite well proportioned and despite being over the public bar was not noisy. Was close to the bus stop which saved us driving into Brighton and trying to find a park. Meals were good and breakfast very generous. Overall good value for money”

Signage to say you're allowed to drop-off/pick-up would have been appreciated. ”Easy walking distance to Plymouth Train Station, and within walking distance of the waterfront area. Good towels/linens. Decent room size. One thing to keep in mind is that the rooms are NOT air conditioned and the windows barely open two inches. There is a ceiling fan and a small electric fan however. Wouldn’t want to be there during any kind of heat wave.”
