For the past 10 years or more I’ve been staying in this same hotel and sadly I have to say that the level of Hilton Moda Doubletree has gone down. If you go to the lobby bar, you could be sitting there for 45 minutes without a waiter noticing us and even though having an open meeting there with business partners…
Small things make the difference. Cleaning isn’t what it used to be. One morning I found two small orange spiders. I had to change three times my room. One time the sink wasn’t working. Then I was degraded when changing the room for the first time and after making a fuzz about it, the seaside was given. Nevertheless, in two out of three rooms bathtubs had issues also with the plugs. Then the third rooms bed was squeaking when turning around.
In all, you’re able to see and feel that the aging and wearing have done its job.
Turkish people are the most friendly people you can meet. But, the friendliness and kindness from the front desk wasn’t that what it has been.
I love this hotel for its location just around the Kadikoy wonderful surroundings but if the hotel doesn’t upgrade itself… I just need to change the hotel.
