Good value for your money
Beautiful landscape, the hotel has probably seen its best years bur is still nice and clean. Food was ok. We stayed in a premium on water chalet which has amazing views. Overall good experience. The staff was great, really trying their best to make you feel welcome.

The distances between the main building and the chalets can feel long to walk, but the free hotel shuttles are quick and easy to call for. Beautiful pool and beach areas with bar and bistro services. Absolutely wonderful and friendly personnel. Wildlife is practically at your doorstep. Peaceful and relaxed, tropical atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Kiva mökkimajoitus
Hieno paikka ja hyvin toimivat palvelut kohtuu hintaan. Onneksi saatiin vaihdettua majoituksemme meluavien naapureiden takia paritalomökistä yhden huoneiston mökkiin ensimmäisen yön jälkeen. Henkilöstö oli erittäin ystävällistä ja palvelualtista.

Perfectly ok
Perfectly decent all inclusive (food, not drinks!) resort at langkawi. I’d say 3.5 stars - so as long as you don’t expect western 5 stars, you’ll be ok. Really nice white sand beach, great and big pool (with a pool bar!) and good little gym too. Clean place and super friendly service with a smile everywhere. 4 different restaurants to choose from, all pretty average. Thai place is the best because of the sunset view. Week max is enough, otherwise you’d have to do day trips or activities to keep it exciting.

Sademetsä-chalet kokemuksen arvoinen
Kun saavuimme sademetsä-chalettiin, olimme hiukan yllättyneitä, että chaletti tosiaan oli syvällä sademetsässä. Chalet oli siivottu, siistissä kunnossa ja kylppäri oli kuin missä tahansa hotellihuoneessa. Mökissä tosin haisi mummon mökille, joten olisi ehkä aika miettiä kosteuden poistoon jotain ratkaisua. Ilmalämpöpumppu auttoi asiaa onneksi ja muutaman päivän jälkeen oli jo ehdottomasti mielyttävämpää olla chaletissä kun siihen oli tottunut. Resortilla oli käytössä Shuttle-service, joka oli huippu kuumuudessa ja esim pimeällä, kun metsästä kuului jos minkälaista ääntä ja piti lähteä chaletista illalliselle. Meille kuului yöpymiseen aamupalan lisäksi lounas ja illallinen. Wi-fi toimi hyvin, vaikka sen pitikin toimia vain 24h itse huoneessa. Muualla resortilla oli myös netti toiminnassa. Ruoka oli tietääkseni jokaisessa paikassa valmistettu halalin mukaisesti, mutta siihenkin tottui. Palvelu oli mielestäni todella hyvää, resortin hintataso ei ollut törkeä verrattuna yleiseen paikalliseen hintatasoon. Altaat ja oma hiekkaranta oli hyvässä kunnossa ja paikassa oli siistiä. Resortissa saa lähes kaikkeen toimintaan apua tai mahdollisuutta ostaa/vuokrata reissuja, skootteria jne. Jos tulisin uudestaan Berjayalle, ottaisin kokemuksen vuoksi chaletin meren päältä, vaikka ovatkin hinnakkaampia. Kaiken kaikkiaan alkujärkytyksen jälkeen, sademetsä-chalettiakin jäi ikävä. Meidän huone ei ollut ehkä enää 4-5 tähden arvoinen, mutta en osaa myöskään verrata muita saaren majoituksia.

Erilainen, loistava hotelli sademetsän kupeessa
Kaunis ja viihtyisä resort hyvällä paikalla. Gondolihissi vuorille sekä vesiputous ovat kävelymatkan päässä, tai hotellilta sai ilmaisen kyydin. Parasta oli luonto, varsinkin apinat. Viidakkokävely (ilmainen) oli loistava lisä, näimme paljon yöeläimiä. Ranta ja altaat tosi hyvät.

Kiva hotelli lapsiperheelle
Olimme vkon Berjaya Langkawi Resortissa kesäkuussa 2018, jolloin on kuulemma vielä vähän rauhallisempaa ramadanin johdosta. Minusta kiva paikka, chaletit ovat sisältä parempikuntoisia kuin ulospäin näyttävät. Välimatka oli meillä lyhyt lobby-alueelle, altaille ja meren rantaan. Tarvittaessa saa kyydin joka paikkaan alueella ja sekin tuli nopeasti. Palvelut pelasivat ja vaihtoehtoja oli monia mm. aktiviteetteihin ja ruokailuihin. Muutaman kerran käytiin retkillä muualla saarella. Taksit ja ostokset on halpoja. Kävimme samalla reissulla myös Singaporessa ja Kuala Lumpurissa, joissa on selvästi kalliimpaa. Lapsiperheelle kivaa eri mahdollisuudet tehdä kaikkea ja eri eläimet, joita on mukava seurata alueella. Apinoita on 2 rotua, liskoja, rapuja oli kiva etsiä rannalla taskulampulla illalla. Oriental Village vieressä, jossa on kaikkea mahdollista. Cable car/Sky Bridge ja Seven Wells Waterfall ovat must nähtäviä.

Amazing jungle location
Berjaya was a great experience. The jungle location is wonderful and you get so much privacy in the jungle bungalows. The place truly feels special. I especially would recommend the free Dev's evening nature walk where you can see a lot of animals in the hotel area. The only negative thing I have to say about the resort is the food. The breakfast is only average. There is plenty of choice but it is nothing special. Food at the resort really is not up to its standards. Only the thai restaurant was good, even excellent. Everything else was below average. There are a couple of restaurants in the Oriental Village also which is a short walk away.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Langkawi trip and wished we stayed longer. Whilst the rooms may be somewhat dated for a 5*, the customer service at this hotel is exceptional. After checkin they got in touch by WhatsApp to let us know they were available for any assistance 24’7. The facilities were nice, the staff were extremely polite and attentive. It was a real bonus seeing monkeys around the resort, (wish they had come to our balcony!) We didn’t have to wait long for a buggy and didn’t experience queues at breakfast. We opted for half board, there were loads of food options which we liked. On checkout I had left something in the room and they got in touch to let me know within in hour or so, thankfully I had a friend that was able to pick up the item.

I was greeted with warm smiles, impeccable service and a buggy to my villa. The resort's stunning location amidst lush greenery and overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea created a picturesque backdrop for a truly memorable vacation. The accommodation was luxurious and comfortable, providing a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional charm. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the gentle rustle of palm leaves was a rejuvenating experience. The spacious rooms offered breathtaking views and i mean it BREATHETAKING. The resort's facilities catered to every need and desire. Whether lounging by the pool, indulging in delectable cuisine at one of the restaurants, or pampering myself with a relaxing spa treatment, every experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and cared for, adding a personal touch to the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was exploring the island's natural beauty through the resort's various excursions and activities. From island hopping Jet skiing to horse riding on the beach, there was never a dull moment. The knowledgeable guides provided valuable insights into the local culture and ecosystem, enhancing the overall experience.

We spent 10 days at the Berjaya and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on one of the chalets over the water. Waking up to the sunrise over the water was a joy, as was watching the sunset from the Thai restaurant. All the restaurants offered a good selection of food, my only quibble being the lack of Malaysian snacks such as Sate at the beach/pool bar. One point where things could improve was the need for a supervisor at the beach bar at busy periods. The lads behind the bar did get confused and overwhelmed some lunchtimes. The resort is spread over a large area with many chalets built into the forest. These looked nice but I heard from some that these looked tired. The Berjaya are in the process of renovating their chalets. To cover this area buggies transport you to restaurants, spa (excellent male therapist in the mens section), pool and back to your chalet. The resort provided a very relaxing holiday and the staff were friendly and so helpful. A big thank you to them all. It is however worth noting few things about the area. We were surprised to find some shops and and restaurants had not reopened since Covid, in particular at the Oriental village and Perdana quay. This limited the amount of alternative places to eat. Fortunately taxi are cheap and easy to get, so you can get to Pantai Cenang etc for a change of scene.

We had an amazing stay at this resort. All the staff was amazing and very accommodating, they go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. It’s a large resort so need a shuttle to get around. They also have a private beach area which is clean and has food and beverage options. Seeing monkeys around the property is also a treat, just need to be careful around them. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, found is slow at times. This can improved.

Great 2 night stay
We were upgraded to a chalet on the water. Great room with fabulous views. Only downside was being in one of these meant we didn't see as many monkeys but you can't have everything. Breakfast pretty good and would advise people to have breakfast in Beach Brasserie rather than the main one which gets very busy.

Wonderful, very memorable stay in rainforest
Really great short stay here. Wonderful experience of being in the rainforest, hearing and seeing wildlife, though chalet dd feel small. We loved the beautiful beach and pool. Was a comfortable walk to the cable car, though the hotel offers shuttle. We also loved walking through the rainforest in preference to using their shuttles. Good choice of restaurants to eat at and food quality great, though we found eating breakfast and buffet evening meal in main restaurant bit hectic and not so relaxing. Our favourite was the Beach Brasserie - nice and romantic, especially being serenaded, with great food and service.

Wir waren rund eine Woche im Januar 2024 dort. Wir hatten ein Chalet im Wald. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Schöne Anlage und guter Service und sauber. Das Hotel liegt etwa 30 Min. ausserhalb der Stadt. Ist aber mit Taxi oder Grab schnell erreichbar. Kosten für eine Fahrt zwischen 25 und 40 Ringgit. Das Meer ist direkt beim Hotel. Es hat genügend Sonnenschirme und Liegen. In der Nähe hat es keine Restaurants. Deshalb in den Hotelrestaurants oder in der Stadt essen gehen.

This resort is undergoing many unit renovations. Don’t be surprised if there is painting, grinding, rail replacement, etc going on outside your door-it is very busy. I think my only recommendation would be to tidy up the renovation and work areas so guests don’t have to see the evidence of the work. The workers only work during day hours when people are out so it didn’t bother us.
