This is a well located hotel that will likely be fine for your sightseeing trip. We were a family of 4 (2 parents, 2 teens) and we stayed for 3 nights. TLDR: great location but expect basic amenities, small rooms, and slow WiFi. Will work for the visitor who intends to be out and about.
Pros: location! Hopping on the Tube, train or bus was a breeze. We came in via Tube from Heathrow and departed by Thameslink to Gatwick. We used the buses and Tube for getting around London. There are heaps of food options. Also it's just fun to be amongst the hive of activity centered in Kings Cross. I'm glad we picked King's Cross as our base, it was seriously so fun!
Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean with good bedding. Plenty of hot water. Noise wasn't an issue.
Cons: slow WiFi, my partner had to leave the hotel to work on his laptop. Rooms, while serviceable, are small. Our room had space for 3 beds and not much else. Amenities in the room were ultra basic. No conditioner for my long haired teens. No face towels. The bathroom was tiny and the shower curtain didn't really cover the shower stall making it difficult to share the bathroom whilst one person is showering. Not ideal for a family of 4. Not enough hooks for towels so we had to hang them about the room. Why can't hotels provide more hooks??
We had hardly any interaction with the staff so can't make a true assessment but upon check in, the staff member was quite patronizing so I avoided the staff after that.
