We had a terrible experience at AA Alexander House that we ended up booking another Apartment. This was due to the below:
Firstly we was told to ring before arrival, we had no answer until we arrived. We arrived at 5:30 no one was there or picking up to show us our rooms/units. We eventually managed to get through and was told to wait 15/20 mins. A couple with a baby was waiting outside in the cold waiting to be roomed as well as us. We then tried ringing the contact again and no answer. The cleaner came out and said it’s only her cleaning the rooms which caused the delay, bearing in mind check in was meant to be from 3pm!
The person on the phone said it’s been busy everywhere and they’ve been short staffed
The cleaner kindly allowed us inside to the rooms to wait as it was cold outside, the time was 6:30 at that point and myself and friends were stressed out at this point.
The cleaner was having a hard time doing all the rooms on her own which caused more delay. We eventually decided to leave the apartment and booked a new apartment. When we eventually found a new apartment the contact rang us and said rooms are ready to check in this was between 8-9pm, which is extremely late!
This has ruined our weekend as we had to pay extra money then planned. We had things planned and booked and wasn’t able to make it.
Is there any chance of a refund as we did not even get to stay where we originally booked.
