Mixed emmotions
The kitchen living room was a great entertaining place. But they did not tell us that we needed to bring firewood. We lost power 4 times due to either a faulty breaker or a power issue. The beds still had hair on the sheets from previous guest. The beds were super uncomfortable. We had a tv in our room with no power cord. What’s the point? There was a pool pass left at the door, that the guests were not even able to use. Again what’s the point. We will not be staying at this unit ever again.

Terrible
Do not waste your time and money. The property was not ready when it was supposed to be, and we were delayed in our check-in. Property Management did nothing to compensate us for this. The house was not very clean, and was not well stocked. It was not comfortable, and it was in poor condition. All attempts to resolve any of these issues were not met with any type of appropriate or professional response. After check out, the management contacted us with false claims of damages, which we were easily able to prove as fabricated.

We wished everything was as described
We picked this specific property for its hot tub (which was well advertised in the listing) Upon check in, we received a text message stating that the hot tub is out of order. in our reply, we asked the paid $30 fee for hot tub to be refunded. the only response we received in our 48 hours stay was that they are checking with their local team. no follow up, no refund what so ever. On top of that, the interior could have better cleaning condition since we noticed multiple spiderwebs throughout the house. Over all, it was a B+ experience with well equipped kitchen, sufficient towels and toiletries, and plenty of room for up to 6 people.

Okay… could’ve been better
When we arrived, it was clean. However, the bar sink drain pipe underneath the cabinet was completely unhooked. I cleaned up the mess and connected the pvc pipe fitting. Then the hot tub was not working the first day. We Googled a fix… realized it was just low on water. That also was an easy fix. Then there’s the hot water hose disconnected from the laundry washing machine. And, the baseboard in the kitchen was laying in the floor nails sticking up. Another easy fix, but I paid for and expect a vacation, not 3 plumbing jobs where and when I vacation.

Packed in with other vacation rentals.
In a lovely area, but for the price we expected to have two queens and a king based on the listing but two were doubles and very uncomfortable. The hot tub never got hot. We were not told we needed to bring firewood and kindling, nor that we should have brought bottled water as the water there is awful and the filtered pitcher was falling apart. The stairs are dangerous and the bedside lighting was inadequate. The overall decor is shabby. Again, the price was too much for what we got. We will be back to the area because we love it but won’t be staying here again.

Hot tub is unreliable but property is nice!
The listing advertises a working hot tub and that amenity is reflected in the daily rate. The hot tub would not stay warmer than 90 degrees (making it a WARM tub!) unless we checked it a few hours before we wanted to go in and reset the temperature. We reached out to the owner and a maintenance person came later that afternoon. It worked while he was there but continued throughout our stay. The house is very nice but the listing is not accurate (hot tub) and should be repaired or the listing changed.

Great location, great house with some improvements
We loved staying at this house. We loved the trees on the back deck, the house stayed cool even in the heatwave. Fans were supplied to keep air moving and keeping the upstairs rooms at a good temperature to sleep. Access to hiking trails and lakes is excellent. Stock up for supplies and food nearby. Some comments on improvements: The lid for the outside trashcan was missing, so I was reluctant to put our trash out, not to attract animals. We couldn't find additional kitchen towels anywhere, there was only one in the kitchen. There was a loose electrical outlet in the upstairs bedroom closest to the bathroom, which we felt was a safety hazard for the kids. The one big safety complaint we have is that the door that leads out to the deck behind the kitchen is blocked by the dryer. We felt it is a fire hazard to only have the front door in case of an emergency. It also made it inconvenient to carry around all the BBQ food and utensils as well as to walk through the entire house from the hottub to the downstairs shower.

Nice Home, just disappointed with outcome
We chose this specific property so we could have use of a private hottub to enjoy during our ski trip. After a long day of skiing, there’s nothing more wonderful than a relaxing dip to soothe your sore muscles. While the house was wonderful and just as described, it was very frustrating to arrive and find the hottub cold. We were told the hottub wasn’t working and that a piece had been ordered but we would have expected to be informed of this prior to arriving. Then to read comments that prior guests had the same issue of a cold hottub just 2 weeks prior felt like even more of a slap in the face. We specifically chose this property for the hottub, otherwise we could have stayed closer to Mt Hood if we hadn’t wanted a hottub, but that wasn’t the case. After contacting VRBO, they informed us to work with the rental property management company Vacasa in Oregon and they only offered a 10% refund, which was far from what I expected in a show of good faith to honor customer satisfaction. I would just warn anyone who books a property with an important amenity like a hottub or pool that they confirm prior to their stay, or the cancellation period, to ask if everything they’re being promised will be working. I’ve stayed many places with VRBO and recommended them to friends and family, but honestly this has left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel we were cheated in the promise of what we rented.
