We recently stayed (7/20-7/23) at this location in Rome for the first time, drawn by its convenient location (walking distance to the Colosseum). We booked two apartments, #14 and #38, which were about a 5-minute walk apart. Unfortunately, our stay had several issues.
When we arrived at 6 pm, we couldn't access apartment #14 due to a faulty door lock. Despite calling multiple phone numbers listed, no one answered, and we were forced to spend the first night in apartment #38. We had a group of 10 people, 5 kids and 5 adults. The kids were stressed, tired, and crying after a long flight, which made the situation even more challenging. A staff member eventually fixed the lock the next day, and we were able to move into apartment #14.
However, our stay in apartment #38 also had an issue. On the second day, the boiler broke down, and it wasn't fixed for the remainder of our stay. We were scheduled to stay for 3 nights.
The hotel offered a 10% discount for the 2 nights (boiler issues that had no warm water for shower) and a 1-night reimbursement for apartment #14, but the process was cumbersome, and we had to file a claim through Expedia.
We were also asked to pay city/local tax, which we were prepared to pay but it was a higher price from what Expedia was showing.
Given the short duration of our stay (3 nights) and the numerous issues we encountered, we wouldn't recommend this hotel despite its location. The experience was disappointing, and we wouldn't stay here again.
