The apartment was perfect for our short stay in Rome. Perfectly located in the heart of Rome for walking to most of the major attractions with great restaurants right outside the door and a small grocery just around the corner. Every day there was a lively open air market in the square with everything from T-shirts to fresh fruit to balsamic vinegar & olive oil to jewelry & souvenirs. Easy to catch a taxi or bus just down the block. The host met us at the door immediately on our arrival which was much appreciated after a long 16 hr overnight flight from West coast US. Communication with the host was easy & almost immediate. We had a great time & would stay again next time in Roma. One thing…the apartment in on the second floor (first floor in Euro speak) at the top of a fairly steep & narrow staircase. Thanks again. BW

poor experience

Arrived at 5:30 pm. Stairs to the apartment are windy with a partial railing. The lighting is poor and the hallway is unclean.Got a quick tour. AC did not work ( Outside temp. was100 degrees). Greeter called and was told how to fix it. After 30 minutes no AC so we called and texted several times. Greeter finally contacted us on Whats App and said she could do nothing further. We tried to reach her and the host for clarification but no response. The heat was unbearable but we had no choice but to stay. Because of the lack of communication we made the decision to leave early (change fee was 990.) No portable AC or fan was offered. We are both 77 years old. Called the next morning and talked to Matteo who was totally inappropriate. Continually talked over us, very loud and interrupted repeatedly. He stated that a tec would be over . The tec arrived a few hours later and got the AC to work. 10 minutes later the AC stopped again. He returned later and got the living room AC to work but not the bedroom. Spent second night in the living room and left the following am. The apt is in a great location close to the Compo. The access is poor with no lift. The apt. could use some updates. It is in a noisy area. Security is poor. Obviously communication with the host is extremely poor. ( We have been VRBO hosts for 20 years ). The host reimbursed us for the base rate for 2 nights only. No consideration for the inconvenience or additional airfare.

This property is in a great location. It is right on Campo de Fiori. It is in a great location with lots of restaurants and shops. We stayed in July 2025. This property needs a lot of attention: A/C is not working properly, only 1 unit worked (living room) and the bedroom A/C didn't cool at all. The bedroom has no windows, so there was no way to get outside air. No fan is provided. The kitchen smells and only have 3 mugs, 3 glasses, no wine glasses and only 1 kitchen towel. The property manager could do a much better job by providing necessity items for guests (glasses, mugs, kitchen towel, soap in the kitchen). Communication is poor, we had to call to get the check in information.

Great location!!

It was the perfect location for our stay. We walked everywhere except the train station for four days and never wished we had stayed anywhere else. The ancient history of Rome was our favorite part of the trip, along with the shopping, and the accuracy of the location description was exactly what we were looking for.

Authentisches Romfeeling

Die Unterkunft bietet überwiegend positive, jedoch auch einige negative Aspekte. Die Lage ist einmalig, mitten im historischen Zentrum mit viel authentischem Flair. Der Straßenlärm dringt nach oben, was jedoch auch seinen speziellen Reiz hat. Das Schlafzimmer ist ruhig, das Bett bequem. Es gibt leider kein öffenbaresFenster im Schlafzimmer, Frischluft bekommt man höchstenfalls durch eine kleine Luke im Bad, die auf einen engen, dunklen Lichtschacht führt. Bad und Schlafzimmer gehen praktisch ineinander über, der Toilettengang ist vom Bett aus mitzuverfolgen. Das Gebäude ist alt, was man am Hauseingang und dem Flurbereich mit sehr enger, steiler Treppe und bröckelndem Verputz erkennt - ein typisches Wohnhaus im Zentrum Roms eben. Die Wohnung an sich ist jedoch ordentlich und geschmackvoll renoviert worden.Die Küche ist sehr beengt, jedoch mit Gasherd, Waschmaschine und Geschirrspülmaschine praktisch ausgestattet. Einen Backofen gibt es nicht. Ein Handtuchset pro Person ( Duschtuch, Handtuch, Gästetuch) bei einem Aufenthalt von 15 Tagen erscheint zu wenig. Man behilft sich dann mit Handtücherwaschen. Die Einrichtung im Wohnzimmer ist originell, schöne Bücherregale, gute Beleuchtung, antike Möbel, wenn auch -zumindest was Sessel und Sofa anbelangt - nicht mehr taufrisch. Das absolute Plus der Wohnung ist die Spitzenlage, mitten im Geschehen. Sehr schön, was den Aufenthalt insgesamt lohnenswert macht. Jeder, der sich nicht an kleinen Nachteilen stört, wird die Wohnung mögen.

Excellent location

Great location from which to explore Rome on foot. Looks over a vibrant square, but no noise at all at night as the bedroom is at the back. The kitchen is only just basically equipped, but that suited us fine. We highly recommend this property.

Great location

The apartment was in a great location in Rome. It was close to many of the sights and had lots of bars and restaurants around. The shower was very slow to drain so we had to shut off the water mid-shower a few times, but it wasn’t a major issue. We had read this in other reviews so knew to expect it. Overall it was a great stay and the air conditioning saved us in the heat!!

Great for adults!

Definitely stay here if you want convenience of location, proximity to stores and good restaurants and don’t mind loud nightlife. Not recommended for little children due to the fact that the bathroom is located in the master bedroom and if the child sleeps there it doesn’t make the bathroom accessible by all.

Thanks for a great stay

Francesca was wonderfully responsive and we had a pleasant stay. We were a bit put off at the beginning by a filthy staircase and then being taken to the wrong apartment on an upper floor that we dragged bags to ( with no offer of help) to find we were actually on a lower floor. Once in, all was well!

Excellent location near Campo di Fiore

This apartment is located in a busy, tiny piazza very close to the larger piazza of Campo di Fiore. Great restaurants right here in the immediate vicinity. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen recently remodeled. The living room was a bit loud when there was a football match on tv but the bedroom was quiet as it is set back.

Good location

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Rome. It was clean, comfortable, and had a good location. The living was noisy because there were restaurants below it, but the bedroom was quiet. Communication with Francesca was good.
