Neal-Hirsimökki-Deluxe-Oma kylpyhuone

Tule ottamaan askel taaksepäin ajassa ja rentoutua 178 vuotta vanhassa hirsimökissämme. Se on aito historiallinen rakenne, johon on lisätty nykyaikaisia mukavuuksia. Olipa kyseessä hiljainen ilta kuistilla, pulahdus uima-altaalla tähtien alla tai kahvi eläinten kanssa, voit varmasti nauttia lomastasi tilallamme, kun koet elämää mökissä kuin se olisi saattanut olla 1800-luvun alkupuolella.
Historiallisessa mökissämme voi nukkua 8-10 mukavasti. Vielä 2 vierasta voi majoittua nukkumalla sohvilla. Siellä on 3 täysikokoista sänkyä (muistakaa ihmiset, niitä suuria sänkyjä ei ollut tuolloin), mutta omamme ovat mukavia! Siellä on myös 2 erillistä vuodetta ja 1 queen size-vuode. Yläkerrassa ja alas on sohvia ylimääräistä nukkumista varten. Makuutila on yksi täysikokoinen sänky alakerran makuuhuoneessa ja yksi queen-size-vuode ja kaksi täysikokoista sänkyä yläkerran parvihuoneessa. Yläkerrassa on myös ylimääräinen makuuhuone, jossa kaksi erillistä vuodetta. Mökissä on täydellinen keittiö, jossa astianpesukone ja kaksi kylpyhuonetta alakerrassa. Yhdessä kylpyhuoneessa on suihku kävellä, ja toisessa kylpyhuoneessa on poreallas, josta on upea näköala tilaan. Keittiössä, kylpyhuoneessa, olohuoneessa ja makuuhuoneessa on puulämmitteinen takka.

Great place to relax!

The cabin was absolutely wonderful. Rustic, historic and comfortable. Our family stayed in it for my oldest son's wedding, and we had a great weekend. Within walking distance of several historic buildings too. Quiet, peaceful, and nostalgic. Can't wait to come back!

Staying at Neal Cabin

Important things to know about this stay:- The pool is not heated so unless you are booking over the summer, its unlikely you’ll be able to use it- In the Neal cabin, while the listing says there are 3bedrooms, it’s really more like a 1br loft. Upstairs there are no doors - there is a spot you can crawl into the 2nd room and you can access the other upstairs bedroom directly from the stairs. This means you have to go downstairs to change clothes if you want privacy. While this may work fine if you have a large nuclear family, or are happy bunking many children in one room upstairs, it is not suitable for adults who want privacy.- There is no bathroom upstairs and the stairs are precarious, which can impact late night bathroom runs. - The primary door has a latch but it’s one way, so you can’t open the door from the outside once one person has closed the door inside. - There is one on-suite bath for the primary bedroom, which doesn’t have a shower. The other bathroom is off the dining room and is incredibly small for the rest of the house. - In the primary bathroom, you'll need to fill the bathtub slowly so as to not tax the water heater. - While we were there, the minisplit upstairs was out when we arrived. No concession was offered at the time. Instead I had to go back and pointedly request one, which was given. - The cabin has low ceilings—tall guests would be constantly worried about hitting their heads. I'm 5'5'' and had about 1-2'' of clearance.

Beautiful Property for Older Adults

We ended up not staying at the property. Although it was definitely a cabin, the antique furniture and surroundings didn't make it ideal for a family to feel comfortable using. Would have loved to get some form of credit, but it wasn't offered.

Worth it

What a fun place to stay for our anniversary! I didn't realize how short some door frames were back in the day. We bought some of the frozen catered meals from the mercantile store on site and they were delicious and cooked easily according to the directions. We are glad we didn't take our pooch, since animals aren't allowed on the antique furniture, which is all of it, and there would have been no way to keep her off it. Cabin may be haunted - one light would turn on in the living room after we went to bed a couple of nights. We unplugged it, and the power briefly went out the next night. Could be a total coincidence. The mattress was awesome and made it hard to leave! We wish we'd stayed more than 3 days. Hosts were super friendly! Would definitely recommend.

So unique!

Coulter Farmstead did not disappoint. Beautiful property in a unique area. We enjoyed exploring the town and loved how peaceful the area was. The property owner welcomed us shortly after arriving, and were very friendly. They even helped when one of my tires on my car was low. We also ordered the breakfast which was delivered to our cabin. The meal included a cheese soufflé, yogurt with berries, a muffin, and orange juice. It all tasted so good. Very much recommend staying here.

Great place for a getaway

This cabin was amazing! It was a unique experience for sure. You could definitely see the history in the house but it was nice to have modern amenities (AC, dishwasher and microwave, coffee maker, etc.). We were also able to use the pool and visit with some of the other travelers there as well as meet the animals that were onsite. Katie and Justice were great hosts! They managed a nice little store on the property where we purchased some delicious foods and craft sodas. And I would highly recommend the breakfast! It was delicious.

Beautiful great place ran by great people

My family and I stayed in the Neal cabin and it was wonderful. Check in and communication was great. The grounds were kept up well and beautiful. The cabin was clean, comfortable and felt very safe. I would have loved to have a little pamphlet to read about the history of the buildings on the property!

Slice of Heaven

Every year my girls and I along with the grands take a vacation.. this by far has been our most beloved trip.. the cabin was exceptionally cozy .. all beds were so comfy.. the hosts were magnificent hosts.. Justice and Katie West along with little Willow D. Has taken The Coulter Farmstead and made it like a little slice of Heaven here on Earth.. you definitely feel like family when you leave.. we had a great time and are already talking about going back when we can!!! I really can’t say enough about the hosts.. you did not want for anything.. and if you did they would make sure you had it.. just an adorable family I encourage anyone who wants to take a step back in time and relax to give this place a try!!! Truly exceptional.

Historic Charm with Modern Conveniences

Very cool historic cabin with updated conveniences made for a unique and comfortable stay. Only stayed one night but had everything we needed. Very friendly and communicative property management. Really enjoyed sitting on the covered front porch watching the rain.

We loved our stay at Coulter farms! Beautiful and clean. And exceptionally nice owner. So much to see in Washington. But our favorite was the blacksmith shop. Plan on trying to go back again very soon!

Amazing history

Bradley is the best He made soooo many accommodations for our family We came in from 4 states to meet there and of course Bradley was there to greet all of us with a smile The house was even better than we expected. Very clean and complete with everything we could have wanted The mercantile was full of charm and local merchandise The kiddos favorite was the in-ground pool, complete with waterfall. Visit Historic Washington, AR

The Neal Cabin was amazing. My cousin and her husband joined my husband and me at the cabin. The furnishings are antiques, yet comfortable to relax in after touring Washington, AR. The master bedroom and bathroom were marvelous. My husband and I chose the upstairs. Had 3 large beds and 2 twin beds to choose from. The kitchen worked for what we needed. It was nice having the Mercantile onsite with prepared food ready to heat and eat. Loved the chocolate chip banana bread. We all enjoyed relaxing at the cabin. Very convenient to walk to town, as long as you don't mind walking uphill to get there. Already trying to figure out the next time we will visit.

Felt like a movie set

This place really took us back in time and was so comfortable all the while. It's super scenic and all the surroundings felt like an escape from the city. It doesn't accommodate tall people very well, since there are some low spots in the ceiling and doorways.
