”As a hiker on the Hadrians Wall trail, this venue had everything; good food, good beer and a good drying room. After a wet walk this was most welcome.

”Warm welcome on arrival. All matters explained for my stay. Everything provided and to a high standard. Comfortable bed and room. Lovely breakfast spread and freshly cooked breakfast was delicious. ”

”Our stay at the Westgate Manor was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. Hosts, Stuart and Kathryn give a very high standard of personal service to us and made our short stay memorable. The Manor offers fantastic accommodation and a truly wonderful experience with young dear in the garden in the early morning and three peacocks roaming around! We will be back. Thank you.”
”Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe....
”Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them.
On the hole, everything else was excellent.

”Fantastic cottage with amazing views. The cottage has almost everything you need making it a very relaxing experience. Fields as far as the eye can see. Farmer Andy and his cows are very friendly. We had a very small problem and it was sorted out very quickly. ”

Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three.
Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot.
Small bedroom: no hanging space, one plug socket (used by lamp), only one half of a pair of curtains.

”A beautiful, rural retreat. Wonderful facilities, extremely clean and homely. Comfortable bed with lots of in room extras, like home made shortbread, fresh milk with a mini fridge to store it in, lovely toiletries and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was freshly cooked using local produce, hence the brilliant taste.
Excellent hosts who were so helpful, kind and genuinely interested and keen to assist and make our stay as nice as possible.
