Worst place I’ve ever been. Loud noise every night up to 3 am, cigaretashes on breakfast table. Poor breakfast. Unpleasant staff. Even good location does not save this accommodation. If you have a choice, use it!

erittäin huonotasoinen hotelli
Erittäin huonotasoinen hotelli, jossa huonous korostui henkilökunnassa. 2 erittäin laiskaa miespuolista henkilöä nähtiin ja heidän toimintansa oli ala-arvoista. Myös hotelli oli erittäin nuhruinen ja ränsistynyt. mm. lavuaarit ja suihku eivät vetäneet. Aamupala oli erittäin suppea ja lähes kaikki tuotteet olivat loppu, koska erittäin laiskat työntekijät, jotka eivät seuranneet pöydän antimia.

2-3 tähden hotelli
Halpa ja antiikkinen apartemento lähes vanhan kaupungin portilla. Odottelimme vastaanottovirkailijaa 10 minuuttia. Portaita runsaasti, ei hissiä. Huone siisti, mutta aluksi tunkkaisen oloinen. Suihkukaspin alta virtasi kylpyhuoneen lattialle vesi, jota sitten pyyhkeillä rajoittelimme. Aamiainen ihan hyvä, perusaamiainen. Hotels comin lupauksia hotelli ei täyttänyt: hygienia tuotteet minimaaliset, lentokenttäkuljetusta ei ole.

Jos haluaa hotellin Dubrovnikin keskustasta minuuttien kävelymatkan päästä kaikesta, eikä ole kiinnostunut korkeasta mukavuudesta tai loistosta, tämä voi olla kelpo valinta.

Hotelli vanhan kaupungin keskustassa
Hotellin sijainti loistava: korkeintaan 250 metriä joka paikkaan! henkiklökunta ystävällistä ja huone siisiti. Paitsi suihkusta valui vettä vessan lattialle ja WC:n kansi ei pysynyt auki. Aamiainen syötiin ulkona, mikä oli aivan viehättävää. Matkatavaroiden erillistä säilytyshuonetta ei ole, mutta tavallaan se on ymmärrtettävää, koska hotelli on tehty vanhaan taloon. Henkilökunta varasi meille aamiaissämpylät, kun lähdimme retkelle ennen aamiaisaikaa.

Rauhallinen hotelli keskellä vanhaa kaupunkia
Hiljainen hotelli keskellä vanhan kaupungin vilskettä. Olin varannut hotellin 4 yöksi ja ensimmäisen jouduin olemaan eri rakennuksessa (huoneisto keittiöllä). Huoneisto oli kylmä eikä sinne saanut lisää lämpöä. Loput yöt päärakennuksessa olivat lämpimiä. Hotelli olisi tarjonnut kompensaationa ilmaisen lentokenttäkuljetuksen ja tästä ilmoitettiin vain sähköpostilla mutta luin sähköpostini vasta kotona Suomessa. Respassa tästä ei mainittu. Henkilökunta teki joka aamu munakkaan asiakkaan haluamilla täytteillä. Lisäksi muroja, jogurttia, kinkkua ja juustoa. Kun jouduin yhtenä aamuna lähtemään ennen aamupala-aikaa, sain eväspussin mukaan! Henkilökunta oli avuliasta, mutta 24t respa ei ollut nimensä veroinen. Kun lähdin hotellista, respassa ei ollut ketään ja jouduin jättämään kaupunkiveron (4€) ja avaimen kirjekuoressa tiskille.

We reservated two rooms, but when we arrived, we were given a apartment nearby because they did not have the rooms. However, they were helpful and called a guy to carry our heavy luggages through the busy streets of the old town. The apartment was nice, but it was in the 3rd floor, so if you have bad knees, I would not recommend climbing there.

Kiva pikku hotelli, ystävällinen palvelu
Hieno pikku hotelli aivan vanhan kaupungin ytimessä. Huoneemme oli kolmannessa kerroksessa monien kapeiden portaiden takana. Koska aamiaistila alakerrassa oli pieni, saimme aamiaisen tarjoiltuna huoneeseen. Henkilökuntaa paikalla yksi rouva, joka oli avulias ja ystävällinen. Matkustusaika huhtikuun puoliväli eli ennen sesonkia, joten huone oli myös suht edullinen.

Nb One location - less good condition and service
Hotel has a splendid location near everything in old town. Also the hotel manager was very helpfull and service minded while other personnel succeeded below expectations. The real challence the premises has it's condition which was worn out like walls, carpet, duvee, towels and air conditioning. Bath room was too small and some equipments were broken like hair dryer or not good fastened like tap and shower.

Hotelli hyvällä paikalla aivan keskustassa. Huone rauhallinen. Hyvä ilmastointi. Aluksi huoneen ovea ei saatu lukkoon ja vasta tiukasti vaatimalla korjaaja vaihtoi lukon sähköisestä tavalliseen avainlukkoon. Kylpyhuoneessa oli pieniä matoja.

Siisti pieni perhehotelli
Hotelli sijaitsee keskellä vanhaa kaupunkia. On huomioitava, että autolla ei pääse vanhan kaupungin sisälle, eli muurien ulkopuolelta on siirryttävä kävellen hotellille. Hotellissa on vain muutama huone ( 2/ kerros) ja erittäin jyrkät portaat, joten huonojalkaisille sitä ei voi suositella.Palvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä, huoneet hiljaittain remontoitu ja erittäin siistit. WC/kylpyhuone oli siisti, mutta erittäin pieni. Näköalaa ei ole, koska ikkunat avautuvat kapealle kujalle ja vastapäiseen taloon. Hotellissa on ilmainen Wi-Fi. Aamupala oli aivan riittävän runsas ja monipuolinen. Sijainti vanhassa kaupungissa on loistava kaupunkiin tutustumisen kannalta. Matkustimme huhtikuussa 2013.

AVOID AVOID AVOID Please listen to me when I say this this not the place for you. Let me preface this by saying, I have worked in hotels and completely understand that things break and it’s out of our control. It’s the complete lack of communication from the management that I take issue with. When the lock on my door was broken it took over 3 hours of trying to get someone to come out and fix it. Management decided to deal with the situation by just ceasing to respond to my messages via WhatsApp instead of checking in or keeping me in the loop at all. Also the bathroom was disgusting water leaks out of the shower everywhere and the shower does not drain well. Also it’s LOUD you can hear the bar downstairs as if you are standing in it.

Boede én nat på værelse nr.1. Sengen ok. Aircon ok. En sengelampe og tv kunne ikke tændes. Grim kloak lugt på badeværelset. Håndvask afløb meget dårligt fungerende. Loftlampen hang i ledningerne ned fra loftet. Selvfølgelig og ventet ingen udsigt i den smalle gyde hvor hotellet ligger. Men fornuftig pris og meget central beliggenhed i Old Dubrovnik tæller positivt. Vælger dog ikke hotellet en anden gang.

There is NO free parking at this hotel, despite the listing (took us 4 hours to organise parking, very stressful). Bathroom tap gives only a trickle of water, bathroom door handle fell off, hairdryer didn’t work, makeshift repair to the ceiling and damp mould in curtains. Fabric of the room was just run down. Service was good and location for sightseeing excellent. Breakfast was very basic, but coffee was good.

You get what you pay for!
This is a pretty sketchy spot run by sketchy people, so be careful! Definitely felt like an old hotel and not super safe. However, the location is great as it’s right in the middle of Old Town and convenient to most areas you would want to visit.

The facility wasn't in good conditions. We woke up at 8:30 am and when we went for breakfast there was a guy sleeping in the couch. The only thing that is good about his property is the location.

Do not recommend this place
We stayd for to nights. The room it self had many flaws. The aircon did not work, the Internett was on and off all the time. There was a lamp hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom, and no airflow out of the bathroom. This lead to a wet bad smell in a warm room. We had breakfast included, but this was not ready when we went out 0930. We later got compersation for this after we went and exprested us, witch was ok, but still. The room was not clean, we found bugs. And when we were about to leave a huge cockroach was running over the room. The acommedation is on top of a bar, so there is high music until around midnight and you can hear that very well in the room Do not recommend this place at all.

Bad experience - door would not lock in my room!!!
Bad management - they do not care about you! Stay away from this place! I checked into the hotel in the early afternoon around 3PM. I went to the room and started the Air-conditioning unit. The place is a little run down, but I expected this and all looked good so far. An hour or so later I needed to leave the hotel and found out that my door would not lock from either the outside or the inside. I informed the guy who checked me in and I texted and e-mailed the emergency contact posted in the lobby because the guy who checked me in only operated the restaurant/bar in the place. I never got any responses from the management by e-mail or text. Finally, the guy who ran the bar during the night around 10 PM told me that that management offered me a 10% discount and would give me a new room the next day. It was unacceptable to me to sleep in a room that you cannot lock so I found another hotel nearby that was much nicer for about the same price.
Door frame is damaged.
Door and lock is almost falling apart.
Door wouldn't lock from inside - handle would just spin and there was no dead bolt/

Refund please! Worst hotel experience ever!
The worst managed hotel I ever stayed! Stay away! Called three times in an hour, no answer, no parking. Finally someone answered call, was supposed to text me directions to a near by parking lot, waited for 15 minutes, no text. After dragging the luggage through old town, there was no reception at the hotel, only a bar waiter to give us key. Had to carry luggages to the 4th floor, no air con in the stairway, no lights on 4th floor, half lights in room #8 were not working. Couldn’t get in with code that was given to me at night after 12:30 am. called but nobody answered the call. Had to knock the door so hard for 15 minutes until another guest came down to open the door, felt bad about waking him but had no way to get in. No cleaning service, only one glass in the room, no big tower for shower, no extra toilet paper. Frankly, I should be refunded for two nights at this hotel!!

Great location but not much more!
My wife and I spent two nights a week ago (July 2023). The only plus point about this B&B is the location - right inside the old town of Dubrovnik and a 5 minute walk from the Plie Gate. Makes it very convenient to walk the city walls. Also, restaurants and bus stop, taxi stand are close by. (The owner was also kind enough to arrange an airport transfer for us) Negatives - our room was on the 4th floor and there is no lift in this 250+ years old building (my fault for not requesting a lower floor room in advance). So we had to carry 2 suitcases up the stairs. The room had a slanted ceiling where one can easily bump into it if not aware of it all the time. The shower stand was broken - very difficult to handle the telephone shower. One table lamp did not work. One of the rooms had A/C problem one night and several other rooms (including ours) had to be inconvenienced to work on the fuse box. The breakfast was just bare minimum. No eggs - just croissant, ham, cheese, orange juice and coffee. The man at Reception was managing all operations and he was clearly overworked. On the morning of checkout, he was late to show up and we had to scramble to leave to catch a bus on time. If you want to stay here - better request a lower floor during booking and don't expect anything more than a bed and a small breakfast.

Nice hotel, right in the lively center of Old Town
Nice hotel, right in the lively center of Old Town. Very convenient for local attractions, as well as a few minutes walk for a meeting point for most tour operators. Easily accessible after-hours. Breakfast isn't served until 0800, so too late if your catching most morning tours. Skip the pre-paid breakfast.

The property is above a little bar area, in and excellent and convenient location in the walled city. Breakfast in the morning was nice. The property itself could use a little work, and the cot we had ( there were 3 of us) had broken slats, so we just put the mattress on the ground. The man who was in charge of giving us our keys and breakfast etc was very sweet. Overall it was a lovely place to stay- but could use some up keep.

This was the most disappointing stay we have had our our three week tour. We even stopped at the facility a week prior to our arrival after our cruise to confirm our room selection and insure we would be on a lower floor since there was no elevator. Upon arrival we were told that our room was not available as a previous guest had complained about her room and was given ours instead. So we were forced to climb 5 flights of stairs to our room number 5. It only had twin beds and was much smaller than the room we paid in advance for, which was a double bed and twin in a larger room. The room we were given only had one bath towel and one hand towel and no toilet paper. The TV did not work. The most important problem was that the door would not lock! The staff there could not resolve the problem and said the owners were previously made aware of the issue but failed to resolve it. There was no room safe as advertised either. Every time we had an issue we had to walk down the 5 flights of stairs to get it resolved. The lock issue was never fixed. We were not offered any compensation for our problems. We paid to a larger room and did not get it. The breakfast was small but nice, cold cuts, croissant, juice and coffee. The bar staff were helpful but limited in their capacity to resolve our issues. The hosts never appeared. I would not recommend this B&B.

No free parking as advertised
We booked this hotel as it offered free offsite parking, however upon arrival were told there is no parking and given directions by the owner to a supermarket car park miles away. Thankfully the front of house manager Maro (who was so friendly and helpful the whole stay) was able to direct us to a more legitimate free parking area where we wouldn’t get towed.

I stayed there with two senior ladies and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The building is old with character and felt like we were living in the castle area in old times. Beautiful! Beautiful paintings as well. Of course it is old, and not perfect but lots of amenities e.g. shower etc are new and clean. The breakfast lovely, the care of staff (Maro)amazing, and the location ideal. I was worried when I read some reviews, but in the end we fell in love with the place and the city of course. This is not a 5 star hotel so dont expect 5 star services especially for price and location in Dubrovnik. Main Pro is that the hotel is in the one of the best locations in the city. Walking distance to all the main attractions. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Con: no daily room service and be sure to have all your toiletries including shower gel. Rooms could be improved to look better. For example the curtains were torn and I had to pin them at night to close completely. Other than that I would recommend only if youre not looking for 5 star services.
