”We loved the property location and the pool area is beautiful. However, there are a few small tweaks that could be done such as fixing the bathroom doors so they stay closed. The most troubling safety concern we had was the strong smell of natural gas and I was not sure that there were C02 detectors. The smell was the strongest in the laundry room so we opted not to use the washer and dryers. Otherwise, it was a lovely property.”

”Beautiful lobby, clean and nice rooms with microwave and mini fridge. Great observation deck for relaxing and viewing the city. Free food at kickback and breakfast. Walk out the lower level right onto the Riverwalk - very convenient. Unique property! ”

”Very comfortable. I liked that there was a couch so I could watch television and eat the desert that I was allowed to eat in my room. I asked for a bandaid because I wore the wrong shoes and they had them! As a single woman traveling I could stay in the hotel as there was a bar and two restaurants. ”

”San Antonio is the Texas destination center. Starting at the Alamo where the 185 knew death was ultimate, we honor dedication to principle. The Menger is THE PLACE to visit San Antonio. 100' feet from the Alamo the staff dedication to the upkeep of this 150 yearold hotel is admirable. Clean. Kind staff. There are fancier facilities nearby, but the Menger is our only home in San Antonio. ”

”This was a one night stay. We’ve stayed there before, and one of the reasons we keep coming back is mainly the cleanliness. Unfortunately, this time around it wasn’t so clean. The towels didn’t smell clean. One even had a red dot stain…ugh! The corners of the walls in the bedroom needed some cleaning. Staff was courteous, and had no problems w checking in or out. Will definitely be thinking twice about staying there next time we visit San Antonio. ”

”Beautiful hotel. However, little things could made better. First key card would not open hallway door. Had to go back and reprogram card again ,which is no big deal but more people did show up with same problem. .next, tub was not clean and second day staying it did got clean. No tv. No channel..”
