”The cottage was really cute and clean. Plenty of towels. My daughter kept in touch with the staff for me. It did have a fireplace which was not needed for our stay but fall hit soon after we left. There was not a kitchen but did have a mini fridge and microwave. We spent time at Fort Davis National Historic Site, Balmorhea State Park, actually saw the Marfa lights, and the McDonald Observatory. Definitely recommend!”

”We stayed at the “Betty”, a nice little cabin with a very private hot tub. The gas fireplace was nice. It has a huge 2 person shower. The blacksmith quarters is located right on Main Street so we could walk everywhere. We will be back! You also get to use all of the amenities of the Emigrant hotel just a block down the street. If I had one suggestion it would be to add a chair, maybe a small upholstered comfortable chair next to the fireplace. We moved one of the front patio chairs into the room...

”Air conditioning was window units, we had to move a fan to be cool enough to sleep. Bed near the restroom was very uncomfortable. No extra pillows. Restroom was very small. Electrical plugs sparse. Had to plug a light into the wall in the din for the light to work. Would not ever stay there again.”

”Easy access to the beach, and lots of good restaurants. Close to the main drag to if you needed anything it was close. Parking at your front door and in a peaceful neighborhood. We will be returning.”
