”Spent one night on a 2 day excursion to the big island. Difficult to find because we used the address on the GPS but should have used the one on here. (Our directions took us the area NEXT to it but with one ways and fences we couldn’t get TO it). Once we figured it out, we were good. Parking was limited but the front desk helped us find a spot. Hotel was clean. Front desk was helpful. Felt safe. Breakfast was delicious! ”

”This resort is really outdated (atleast the tower were we stayed – they were doing some renovations there though) We were happy that we only booked one night. It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. ”

”We have been having great experiences in Hawaii at every place we have stayed so far. But I have to mention something special about this property. We stayed here only for one night -but every bit of it was worth it. The staff at the reception desk on 20 th evening - her name is Ipo - was just amazing! ”This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in. We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night...

”We went to once-in-a-lifetime trip to Hawaii and we chose this place. The views, pools and the wild life are amazing but; here is only one place to get breakfest (sandwich 20$!!), coffeeplaces closes at 11am (coffee 8$ and croissant 15$), places to eat are too expensive (pasta and meatballs 50$). Luckily there is marketplace near by (15min walk or shuttle bus 5$)and the rooms have small fridge. We didnt know the resortfee which was high! But I have to say that this Hilton area felt very safe and...

”The property itself and location were excellent. The canoe house and family pool were good. The poolside service was inconsistent. Also not sure why they have a “surf shack” with no waves. ”

”What a sweet little spot. We were volcano watching and did not want to have to drive back to Kona, so we spotted this place at a very reasonable price, booked it and saved ourselves the 2 hour schlep. It was clean, quiet (well except for the coqui frogs - but just had to close the window) , cozy and had a supremely comfortable bed. Best of all, it was 8 minutes from the park. I would not hesitate to stay here again on our next volcano expedition. Thanks Lokahi Lodge! ”

”We have stayed at the colony I at sea mountain in pahala twice. We absolutely love this place, the people are veey nice and make you feel at home. I love the privacy and how quite it is. Its also a 5 minute walk to the beach where you can see the green sea trutles.”

Waste of money

Relaxing holiday in well maintained resort.

"Great week in a spacious villa with nice views over the golf course to ocean. Having breakfast in the balcony was unforgettable. The bed was confortable and all utilities we needed were available. We would choose this place again."
