”We stayed for 3 nights and wished it could have been more. The hotel is in very good shape. Everything has been well thought out and the decor works seamlessly from reception to lounge, conservatory. Restaurant, corridors , landings and bedroom. Spotlessly clean, fresh towels and bedding. Lovely bathroom, plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Food was excellent each breakfast and evening meal. The external seating areas worked well with well laid out patio and garden....

”The Kings Head is so atmospheric - immediately upon walking in we felt at home, warm and cosy, very welcome after walking up to the 9 Standards Rigg in fog and rain. We stayed in Room 5, which we think was either above the bar or games room area and although we were aware of the music etc, it didn’t detract from our comfort and enjoyment. The room was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable. Fresh fruit always available on the way to our room which is a lovely touch. Breakfast choice was great,...
