”Fabulous hotel in the middle of Ambleside.
Staff were all amazing ... fantastic customer service from everyone we encountered. Room was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and very clean and quiet. Plenty of free parking available on site. Public areas were expansive, relaxing and once again very well presented.
We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning a return trip for a longer period. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to all.”

”Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. Central location. Easy walk into the village or down the private access lane to the lake. Badgers are regular visitors as well as red squirrels. ”
”Ambleside Townhouse is so conveniently located to shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. The folks are accommodating and friendly; they really went the distance in making our stay comfortable and convenient. My only suggestion would be mini-split a/c units in the rooms - despite the comfortable temperatures, the humidity was uncomfortable at times. ”
”Lovely building and lovely room. 2 adults 1 child in bedroom 2. Large room with small ensuite shower, toilet and sink.
Situated in a lovely street, can be a bit noisy at night with the pub but not enough to annoy us. Will definitely stay again.

”Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value.
Dog friendly, in fact Luna felt bery welcome!
We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc
