As someone in their 20s that likes to travel this place was perfect for me. It was an affordable "home base" right in the center of the action of Playa Del Carmen. It is literally right next to the clubs and the main strip. The bathroom had some ants but, hey, it's Mexico. No fridge in the room but that's as advertised and for the price it's worth it. AC and Wifi worked fine and the water pressure in the shower was great.
Above all, the staff was incredible. My first day I got there and I had a rental car and was having trouble finding parking (street parking is expensive as heck and doesn't take credit cards) and the staff was nice enough to see my situation and let me use one of their designated spots for the time that I was there which was incredibly generous of them. Furthermore, the hotel cat (I think his name is Manchez) is an absolute treasure.
If you're coming with a family the location might not be ideal just because you can hear the bass thumping from the clubs after 9 on most nights but I think it was perfect for my needs.
