”Kiahuna Plantation Resort Kauai by OUTRIGGER Was exactly the place we were hoping for when we were booking a relaxing trip to Kauai. We selected an ocean view that did not disappoint, and our room was about 100 yards from the beach. The room was clean and had everything we needed for meals when we weren’t going out to eat. I would definitely stay here again!”

”We loved our stay at the Stone House. The most incredible views all the way around the house. Hearing the ocean, day and night, was a highlight for all of us! ”I wish you could leave 10 stars - we had an amazing stay! The property was even more beautiful that the photos. The lanai extends to a grassy yard, perfect for our daughter to run around. The beach is maybe 50 steps away but the property feels very private. Easy to walk to and set up for the beach. They even had an umbrella, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, sand toys and coolers to use. Loved the AC and laundry in unit! A huge plus when traveling with a family. The kitchen is fully stocked and we ate...

”The layout of this home is perfect for our crew. Four daughters stay together in the room with two queens. The pool is an excellent amenity allowing us to spend mornings at the beach and afternoons napping and poolside. We came three years ago and like it so much we came back. We also appreciate access to the walking path to the Grand Hyatt. We used beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, and boogie boards from the house. We are looking forward to our third trip. ”

”This location is a dream, and the house is spacious, super comfortable, and has AC! We loved our time here so much. The view of the water never got old, and it was so nice being less than a five minute walk from Brennecke’s Beach, Poipu Beach, Puka Dog, and Brennecke’s Grill. If we ever return to south shore this is the only house we’d stay in!”

”This house was amazing! It had amazing ventilation and flow through for the trade winds, it felt great in the kitchen and living room. And the bed rooms have their own mini-split air conditioning, so they were very comfortable as well.It was so nice and quiet being right on the golf course. The pool was great and we had several meals on the back patio.Everyone loved it and we would stay again in a heart beat.”

"We can't understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. We travel several weeks a year around the world and I've relied on reviews until now, but... The main pool is full of screaming children, so if you're an adult without children, it's not for you. The adult pool was small and secluded with no amenities. The only restaurant in the hotel is a bar by the main pool, which honestly can't be called a restaurant. The "Deluxe studios" are in separate 3-story buildings with dingy and untidy hallways. The room and its view were perhaps the biggest disappointment. A worn and untidy room and bathroom. Of course there can be cockroaches in the tropics, but this was the only hotel where we shared a room with them. The ocean view was of someone's backyard, which was basically a dump. $700/night would lead you to expect a good hotel, but that's not the point, it's the end result. We would not choose this hotel at any price, with or without children. Fortunately, there were good restaurants nearby (Eating house 1849, The Merrimans, Red salt) and the hotel shuttle service worked really well."
