”It's not new place and overall it looks quite fine. However via hotels.com we had a marking in our room that it includes AC. It definitely didn't. It was extremely hot. There's some towel heater in the toilet that can't be turned off at all. Toilet is constant +30-35C during summer days. In the room you can only open your window by few inches. They had a small table fan in the closet which was the most disgusting thing I've seen for a while. It was covered in thick dust and dirt and it took...

”Great location, so close to town centre, fantastic host, George couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely room overlooking the quiet cobblestone one way street in view of the cathedral. Breakfast has a selection that is cooked to order and is amazing, the full English is a must. Had a wonderful short stay that couldn’t have been better, thanks 40 Winks”

”We arrived and went straight to bed as it was late when we got there. Bed comfortable but surprised no face cloths in the bathroom . Shower excellent and breakfast really tasty and with plenty of choice. Left luggage in house while we visited the Durham uni.Easy to walk to the Uni business centre. A good choice.”

”Es war einfach wunderbar. Sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, grosses und gepflegtes Zimmer und Bad mit grosser Dusche. Sehr viel Ablagefläche im Bad und wohlriechende Pflegeprodukte. Das Doppelbett war sehr, sehr bequem und das Hotel sehr ruhig, so dass ich wunderbar schlief. Das Frühstück konnte am Vortag ausgewählt werden. Das „english breakfast“ wurde dann frisch zubereitet und war einfach wunderbar. Der junge Mann sehr zuvorkommend und sehr motiviert und freundlich. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen...

”While a 10-15 minute walk from downtown, the scenery and location were gorgeous and quaint. The staff, the room, the breakfast, and the stay were just what we were looking for. We took the train to Durham, dropped our packs off at the inn, and spent the rest of the day walking around town and along the river. ”

”Exceptional hospitality. Staff were particularly friendly and attentive. Location suited us - not too far from Durham city centre, but particularly convenient for our visits to Beamish and Tanfield Railway. Room was clean and well-appointed. Food was amazing! Superb breakfast with good choice. Dinner menu was unbelievable (not available on Sunday evening. Highly recommended.”
