”We loved staying at Casona La Recoleta! We were traveling with 4 children, and this hotel was perfect. There was a loft with beds for the kids and a second bathroom. ”Wonderful crew and facilities. We had an issue with TV at check in but registration desk crew went above and beyond to fix it as soon as the could. ”Kori Gems had a very unique, Peruvian feel to it. The staff were wonderfully helpful. We had so many questions and requests for assistance, and they answered everything with a friendly smile. ”The hotel is a beautiful old house with a lot of character. The personnel was really helpful and nice, and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel was very clean and there was hot water in the shower. There was wifi and also a laptop for public use in the lounge area. Free tea and fruit and/or cake available all day. The hotel is located about 10 blocks from the main plaza, which didn't bother us, but I wouldn't recommend walking there alone at night.”

Outdated and overpriced hotel, can’t recommend
"This hotel is very overpriced for the quality of it. I had booked a room titled as ”Grand Premium” but it really was far from premium. A very basic room with outdated interior, really worn out bathroom, broken lamp in the room, a really noisy fridge and a loud airconditioning that hardly worked. The common facilities are nice, but the reception staff wasn’t very helpful and the room wasn’t cleaned well enough. Overall, I was very disappointed in this hotel as Melia normally has quality hotels (I’ve stayed in many), but this is not one of them. I wouldn’t stay here again, and it was definitely not worth the price of over 200 euros / 1000 reais per night."
