”My boyfriend and I stayed at Pocket for several days while visiting Kyoto. It is located in such a convenient area (walkable distance to Nishiki and transit). The property itself is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful! It is definitely worth staying here for the price! The only complaint I have come from the other foreigners/tourists. Please be respectful of the space especially when maintaining cleanliness as this is a shared space. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend Pocket hotel! ”

”We had a spacious living / sleeping room with two beds and a futon floor which can accommodate three mattresses. For two adults and a 11-year old this was spacious in Japan's standards - for five adults it could get a bit crowded. The beds were large enough for me to sleep conveniently at 200 cm / 6'7". The hotel is located in 10-15 mins walk from Gion's biggest tourist hotspots. The closest metro stations are 5-10 min away. We liked the location which was quite peaceful - you do end up walking...

It is not only a very beautiful traditional Machiya (japanese style wooden house) but also offered a very friendly experience all around.
