”This is a beautiful hotel, well positioned for Cardiff Central station just 5 minutes walk away. Check in staff were friendly, though didn’t get an upgrade or offer of a late check out given I’m a gold member and the hotel was not full by any means. Lovely bedroom , terrible view (208) big gaping windows that need some voile for a little privacy. The cobweb needs getting down that’s in the window too! Quality tea and coffee and bathroom products, bottled water is nice too but maybe a plastic...

”I wasn't there for long but check-in was super quick and easy, and the staff were lovely and helpful. When guests a few doors down came back at 5am and were loud (for ages!), I rang the reception and they were up in minutes to resolve the situation. Thank you, I really appreciated it!”

”The property was impressive with the room being quite a good spec. Huge windows offered a lovely view of the lake area and the stand up fan offered relief from quite a stuffy evening. There were some quality amenities and facilities on site too. The parking was ample but even the closest areas required a sizable walk to reception and that is including the disabled parking bays. The biggest disappointment for me was the dining experience. I ordered a starter and main. The starter took a while...

”I'd like to say a huge thank you to the reception staff who were super friendly and helpful. Booked this hotel.last minutes and with it's starr.rating, i had my doubts. However it was great. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Clean towels and bedding (all bright white) Shower room was modern and also.spotless. tea and coffee provided and a fancy pre filled drinking water bottle was a fab touch. Shampoo and body wash in the shower and hand wash on the sink. Nothing was too much...

”The hotel was close by to the train station and all amenities, the foyer and bar area and restaurant was really good, the room was clean and tidy but the furniture was outdated and the mattress was very hard so sleeping was very uncomfortable and the shower wasn’t very powerful. No iron in the room. The indoor swimming pool wasn’t very clean(dirty nappy left on a chair), bits floating in the pool and also it needs up dating. The staff were excellent and very helpful. ”
