”The hotel is in a good place, few minute walk from a train station. The hotel itself was nice, a bit of a hybrid of a hotel and a hostel. The room had it’s own shower and there were enough shared toilets on our floor.
The reception/check-in smelled a bit of seweage when we arrived.”

”Huone on yleisesti ottaen siisti, mutta koska se jaetaan muiden kanssa, taso voi vaihdella. Sakura hotel Ikebukuro sijaitsee loistavien kulkuyhteyksien varrella, noin 5 min kävelymatkan päässä Tokion toiseksi vilkkaimman metro/juna-aseman varrella.”

”The atmosphere there was not friendly, I didn’t feel any kind of hospitality, the people who were there was so cold and make you feel in the wrong place all the time, not a place to make solo traveling if you’re foreigner or young, the zone of Asakusa itself at least for me doesn’t feel like a cool place to be a foreigner.”

”Room was very small but cozy. Front desk clerk was very helpful and spoke english (my Japanese is near non-existent). We needed a place to stay close to Asakusa station for one night before continuing on our trip, and this little place was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was mostly quiet, but there was a lot of food options and a Don Quijote within walking distance.”
