”Sehr freundliches Personal. Der Chef kocht und die Cheffin schmeißt den Service, sowohl bei dem Frühstück wie auch das Restaurant.Lage hervorragend, sehr ruhig, schöner Ausblick, großer Balkon. Zimmer sehr sauber und ordentlich. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Espresso 1. Klasse. Service sehr gut. Der Hammer aber ist die Halbpension. Feinste italienische Küche. Der Koch ist eine Wucht. Unsere 4 Abendessen sind mit "sehr gut" zu bewerten. Also in Summe: Hier kann man sich wohlfühlen, sehr empfehlenswert.”

”Hotel im Zentrum von Wengen. Keine 5min vom Bahnhof entfernt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Preis-Leistung ist sehr gut. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet mit sehr feinem Brot für nur 12.- pro Person. Wir kommen gerne wieder.”

”Our stay at the hotel was overall a good experience. It seemed they were short staffed, specially at the breakfast buffet. Btw, try the bread. It was delicious. Other issue was that when the restaurant was closed after hours I couldn't find a vending machine or even a water fountain. It can be annoying since most of the nearby stores close around 6 pm. ”

”I had great expectations for this stay since I’ve been to Wengen several times and I looked forward to stay at this hotel, that I value as the best there. It was a short stay to ski, so I arrived and I departed late. The reception closes at 16.00 so I found my room key waiting for me with a nice note and that’s it. After 16.00 there’s also no service to and from the station: a minor issue. I felt really unwelcome without a human contact with the reception: I can understand that at a “cheap”...

”A classic Swiss alpine town hotel with really friendly staff. Bären has seen its best days but is an inexpensive and comfortable enough alternative to resort's luxury digs. It is the last hotel in the main throughfare after Hotel Kulm. Access is easy as the entrance is right on the street. Bus stop right at the hotel. Clean old school rooms with small balconies. A big swimming pool is definitely a nice extra. No vegetables at breakfast.”
